I Photograph lighthouses and other places of Landscape/ Seascape beauty. After Hiring a plane to shoot the Skerries from the air, of course, I wanted to shoot them from the ground. The best would be to go out there for the night as well and shoot the isles during sunset, rise and the night. This shot of the Skerries is from the beach on the National Coastal Trail where there is a Trumbolo (An island at high-tide and an isthmus at low tide). There is also a sea arch just out of the picture to the left. Here was the first view of the lighthouse from the trail and the cliffs on either side bracketed it, sort of. The lighthouse does stand out against the darker sea and sky though. There will be other images of the Skerries from higher up and further on the trail. With newer lenses, a great deal of luck in the heavy wind, steadying the camera, hiding as low down behind rocks and in gullies, the shots were not too fuzzy. Surprisingly it wasn't too cold. Of course the lighthouse is 2 miles away from where the camera was and there was mirage to contend with and wind distortion.
